5 Mortify therefore your
members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness,
inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and
covetousness, which is idolatry:

6 For which things’ sake the
wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 In the which ye also walked
some time, when ye lived in them.

8 But now ye also put off all
these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,
filthy communication out of your mouth.

9 Lie not one to another,
seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 And have put on the new
man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that
created him:

11 Where there is neither
Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian,
Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 Put on therefore, as the
elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies,
kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness,
longsuffering;

15 So the wall was finished in
the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

16 And it came to pass, that
when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen
that were about us saw these things, they were much
cast down
in their own eyes: for they perceived
that this
work was

wrought
of our God

Enemies
mourn

1 And all the people gathered
themselves together as one man into the street that was before the
water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book
of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.

2 And Ezra the priest brought
the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all
that could hear with understanding,
upon the first day of the seventh month.

3 And he read therein before
the street that was before the water gate from the morning until
midday, before the men and the women, and those that could
understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the
book of the law.

6 And Ezra blessed the LORD,
the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with
lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped
the LORD with their faces to the ground.

7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and
Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita,
Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the
people to understand the law:
and the people stood in their place.

8 So they read in the book in
the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to
understand the reading.

9 And Nehemiah, which is the
Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that
taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto
the LORD your God; mourn
not, nor weep.
For all the people wept,
when they heard the words of the law.

Chosen
ones mourn

10 Then he said unto them, Go
your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto
them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our
LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your
strength.

29 Immediately after the
tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon
shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear
the
sign of the Son of man
in heaven: and then shall
all the tribes of the earth mourn,
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven
with power and great glory.

Both
enemies and chosen ones.

31 And he shall send his
angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather
together his elect from
the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the
fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves,
ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye
shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the
doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This
generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass
away, but my words shall not pass away.

 15When ye therefore
shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet,
stand
in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand🙂
